A little bit about Girls in Civil
Girls in Civil is a non-profit organization for people interested in fostering diversity in civil engineering and related fields. We look for ways to motivate, inspire, and educate others to get interested in the area.
Why the need?
While women show interest in civil engineering and construction, they often lack the crucial support needed to succeed in the field. With only 14% of the civil engineering workforce being women and approximately 40% of female engineering degree holders not entering or dropping out of the workforce, it's evident that more support is necessary for their thriving.
What’s the goal?
Motivate, inspire, and help minorities and anybody interested in the field to learn more about it. Do outreach, collaborations, and even meetups, and start discussing topics that move us. Teach people around us that Civil Engineering and Construction have growth opportunities for everybody.
What drives us?
Empowerment! Empowering others not just today but every day.
