We are launching our new series. It’s called Girls in Civil!
Are you a Girl in Civil? By “civil” we mean civil engineering or construction-related careers. Do you wish to share your experiences with more people? Do you wish to connect and meet more people in the field?
Every month we will be sharing stories of people that form part of the construction world! Our goal is simple, and we aim to do these four things!
Educate: By sharing your story, we will promote your field and educate people about opportunities in that area. This is a good example of how we can start breaking gender roles and stereotypes tied to that career.
Empower: Your story will definitely empower you and other people. How? By recognizing your achievements, giving you a voice, and modeling the way for others.
Engage: This will be an excellent start on creating connections with other people in the construction world. How many females do you know in a construction field? If you can’t think of any or have a hard time coming up with a name, you can look up into our Girls in Civil series and find more women or minorities in these fields.
Elevate: You elevate yourself by becoming a leader and taking action. If you want to share something and are really passionate about it, this is the perfect space to promote it and let others know.

Whether in the field, in a classroom, or in an office, construction and civil engineering professions are full of different educational, professional, and personal growth opportunities.

Next, we prepare a graphic design for your story, and before posting, we share the drafts with you.
Finally, we share your story throughout all our social media accounts, and we create a blog post especially for you! In that blog post, you can share additional facts or links you wish to share with others.
